Launching for the new season

Give fans a reason to watch closer.

Before the big matches, a coach explains one thing that will decide the game, then gives you something to look out for while it is still to play for. Sixty seconds, on your phone, at the table.

The format

An explanation, and a task.

Every clip does two things. A coach breaks down one piece of play, why it happens and what the players are actually trying to win. Then it hands the fan something to count, spot or judge for themselves once the match starts.

That second part is what changes the eighty minutes that follow. A casual fan stops watching the ball and starts watching the game.

The insight

Why an out-half kicks from hand in open play. What he is trying to win, where he wants the ball to land, and what the chase is set up to do.

Your task

Count how many times Ireland's out-half kicks from hand during open play. Closest answer at full time takes the prize.

Sixty seconds. One thing to understand, one thing to watch for.

For brands

Built for the pubs you already supply.

Brewers put material on tables in the pubs that carry their brand every match weekend. Coasters, table talkers, match day print. Most of it is pushed to one side before the first pint lands.

Coaches Corner gives that material a reason to be picked up. A fan scans it because it tells them something they want to know.

Tell someone to look out for something and they start seeing it everywhere. It is the reason you notice the car you just bought on every road. A clip lasts sixty seconds. The attention it switches on lasts the full eighty minutes, and your brand is attached to it the whole way.

The mechanic travels beyond drinks. Any brand looking to reach rugby fans with something worth their time can carry the clip and the prize.

How fans take part

Two ways to participate.

Whether they are in the pub with a pint in front of them or watching from the sofa, every fan can play along. Same insight, same prize, two front doors.
